Further product information
The ZT pressure transmitter series is a suitable solution for a wide range of industrial applications in hydraulics, pneumatics and process automation. High measuring accuracies and compact designs guarantee the best measuring results.
Benefit from a wide range of selectable options to find the right sensor for your exact application. Various output signals are available to convert the measured pressure value into a standardized industrial signal. Depending on the industry and application, you can choose from different electrical connections and the matching measuring range.
All sensors are in a stainless steel housing and are therefore compatible with all media that are also compatible with stainless steel. The ZT series convinces with excellent properties and is therefore particularly suitable for pressure measurement in refrigeration and air conditioning technology, in hydraulic applications as well as in compressors.
What is absolute pressure?
When measuring absolute pressure with absolute pressure transmitters, a perfect vacuum is assumed as the reference value. This type of pressure reference is the relative pressure of the medium and the pressure of the atmosphere. If the location changes during the absolute pressure measurement, especially if there is a major change, the reference value may change because of the change in atmospheric pressure. Using an absolute pressure transmitter, the reference of a changing atmospheric pressure is omitted because of the reliance on specific pressure ranges of the absolute pressure transmitter.
What is relative pressure?
Relative pressure uses a reference to the atmosphere (medium air) around the sensor. To measure exactly what pressure prevails, a reference pressure value is required because the sensing element of the relative pressure transmitter has a deflection due to pressure changes. A common reason for using relative pressure transmitters to measure relative pressure is to ensure that there is always a reference to the location where the relative pressure transmitter is installed, anywhere in the world.
